The Sales/Brokering Representative initiates contact with sales prospects and customers, responds to purchase inquires, determines parts availability, quotes and sells inventory to meet sales goals and standards in a manner consistent with the high standards of a world-class operation. This position reports to the Vice President of Commercial Sales.
Candidate must be experienced in this capacity and have current customer contacts available.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
Introduces Aventure Aviation to aircraft operators, lessors, owners and repair stations, and solicits orders through phone, FAX, e-mail, or in person at Aventure Aviation or customer/prospect facilities
Serves as Aventure's primary point of contact for customers and prospective customers
Provides part availability, price and delivery for all inquiries and requests¬ – also required to broker parts and/or service
Proactively initiates contact with prospective and current customers (domestic and international)
Establishes customer identification, determines credit status, collects information regarding shipping, packaging, documentation
Qualifications
At least three years current experience in aviation parts sales and brokering, service, logistics or supply functions, in an environment that stresses achievement of performance objectives
Excellent computer skills as well as the ability, tact, diplomacy, attention to detail and superb communication skills to interact with agents and customers worldwide
Knowledge of world geography is a must
Time management and organizational skills to establish priorities, allocate time and resources and ensure follow up
Demonstrated track record of productivity; must posses the initiative to seek opportunities as well as the ability to react appropriately to them
Must be a team player, function well as a team member and supporter, operate effectively in a dynamic environment, and possess the flexibility to deal successfully with change.
Domestic and international travel may be required
Experience with Quantum Database, ILS, and Partsbase a plus
General position comments
The job will entail heavy telephone, FAX and PC activity, with some travel to customer and prospect company sites. Company sites may be international and require travel overseas.
An ideal candidate will have current experience and a portfolio of customers.
